Thin plates production line growth much slower than past years in 2013, the attendant problems is production surplus.

According to "Xinsteel Infromation" data shows that over the years,National thin sheet showed a crazy expansion of production capacity situation between 2005-2011 years, for example of galvanized steel coils,the average annual growth of 6.83 million tons within this seven-year, then drop to 2 million tons in 2013,the increase of other steel products'production capacity also shown a significant decline.

According to Xinsteel's data, at present there is a serious waste of thin sheet capacity, capacity utilization and its products is low, some areas have been excluded from the production stoppage, the national average galvanizing capacity utilization can be maintained at about 80%, while only 40-50% for pre-painted steel plates. Overcapacity in the thin plates industry,domestic and overseas market sales of thin plate are both facing frustrated.
