On 28th,June, Rizhao steel products base formally started, this project is the pilot project in shandong province steel industry structure adjustment, design an annual output of iron  8.1 million tons and steel 8.5 million tons, 7.9 million tons of steel. Vice governor Zhang Chaochao attended the ceremony and announced the project construction.

Rizhao iron and steel products base construction site rizhao city lanshan industrial park.  The project will Landfill 173.8 hectares, The new ore terminal project set one 30 tons berths ,the finished product wharf engineering set 3-40000 tons berths, 4-10000 tons berths . According to the ministry of environmental protection public, rizhao iron and steel base proposed projects a total investment of 56.748 billion yuan, environmental protection investment of 6.47 billion yuan.
