CISA: make efforts to do the steel export work of this year

In 2012, China totally exported 55,732,100 tons of steel, an increase of 14.02% compared with 2011. The characteristics of the exporting steels varieties are prominent, which are focused on three categories of products: Series including the ordinary steel sheet (hot rolled and cold rolled), galvanized steel plate, coated sheet in the Cold Series Plate, the main alloy rod and wire, steel profiles, hot rolled steel plate (volume) in Adding micro-alloy hot-rolled class steel,and steel pipe products. These three products accounted for about 85% of the total steel exports.
From the distribution of steel export market perspective, the steel export mainly concentrated in the Asian region in 2012. ASEAN has surpassed South Korea to become the largest export region. The exports to ASEAN has more than 25% of the total China’s steel exports and it has reached an 48.83% year-on-year growth. The exports to Korean edged down 0.35% accounting for 17.86% of the total steel exports.Compared to the same period in 2011,the markets having faster export growth in 2012 are North America, South America, Asia, Africa, etc.
China Iron and Steel Association said that the Iron and steel enterprises should deeply understand the current steel market and make every effort to do the steel export work of this year .
