22th Sept.2013,Chongqing Iron and Steel Group Co.,Ltd and South Korea's Posco signed FINEX integrated demonstration project cooperation agreement (MOA) and cold rolled&galvanized steel Project Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Chongqing City. City leaders Huang Qifan Wong Jieming and POSCO chairman Chung Joon-yang attended this ceremony.

Chongqing Iron & Steel Group has become an important modern iron and steel enterprise through the successful implementation of environmental relocation project in western China. Posco ranked the first  competitiveness steel enterprise in the world for consecutive years.The FINEX comprehensive demonstration steel mills will use the world's most mature technology,industrial production adaptability,best FINEX smelting reduction and CEM continuous endless rolling process,integrated Chongqing steel's a number of technical innovations and intellectual property rights , and built the world 's first pilot production line FINEX-CEM and intends to combine with Changshou Chemical Park , the surplus gas supply chemical enterprises, and metallurgy - chemical integration , built to high efficiency and low energy consumption comprehensive demonstration mills , steel truly green development of the Chinese steel industry energy conservation, structural adjustment and the elimination of backward production capacity has a positive role in promoting.

Chongqing steel and POSCO cooperation project will mainly produce galvanized steel and advanced cold colled steel,targeted to serve the automotive industry and domestic appliance market in Chongqing.
