According to Taiwan's "Economic Daily" reports, in line with the cross-strait economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA)  goods trade negotiations, the Taiwan's  economic department intends to lift the ban on the mainland steel sold to Taiwan,and will be open to Mainland steel, steel bars, etc. 200 products with zero tariffs.

It is reported that ,in Taiwan, the machinery, building materials and other industries as well as Mainland Taiwanese steel mills will benefit if mainland steel sold to Taiwan is free of tariffs, but these suppliers such as Taiwan's "China Steel", Taiwan's Feng Xing will likely face the price competition from Mainland industry.
