Heavy steel plates are used in Philippine project
A trial order was placed on March 25th from one customer from Philippine.They need heavy steel plate A572 Grade 50 with the maximum thickness till 355mm,this is low alloy steel plate,Xinsteel can roll the maximum thickness till 650mm which is the most heavy in China.With the size of 355mm*1500mm*5000mm,the unit weight shall be 20.901 tons.
In rolling process, if the unit weight beyoned 17 metric tons,our mill would use the steel ingot to roll for guarantee the steel properity. Normalized heat treatment have to be done for these thick steel plates. Else the Ultrasonic examination is done according to ASTM A578/A578 Lever C under our customer's request.According to our contract terms,we arrange the SGS third party inspection before shipment,SGS agency satisfied our goods after inspection and issue the release report and stamped on our mill test certificate.Then all these heavy steel plates A572 Grade 50 have been shipped to Manila port.
