Quenched and tempered alloy steel plate SA514 Grade B belongs to high yield and tensile strength steel plate.Rolling steel grade SA514GrB furnished under ASME SA514/SA514M shall conform to the requirements of the current edition of specification SA6/SA6M,for the ordered materials of steel SA514 Gr.B,unless a conflict exists in which case this specification shall prevail.High strength steel plate SA514Gr.B shall be heat treated by steel mills to conform to the tensile and hardness requirements by heating to not less than 1650 F (900 centigrade),quenching in water or oil and tempering at not less than 1150 F (620 centigrade).The heat treating temperature shall be reported on the mill test certificates.
