

Steel plate 16Mo3 is one kind of Mo alloy steel material in european specification EN10028-2 and steel plate A516 Grade 70 is one common carbon steel material in American ASTM specification A516/A516M.Steel plate 16Mo3 and steel plate A516 Grade 70 are both used for building boilers and pressure vessels.In chemical composition,EN 10028-2 steel plate 16Mo3 requires Mo % within 0.25-0.35 %,but ASTM steel plate A516 Grade 70 no need.By adding Molybdenum element,so steel plate 16Mo3 owned a better heat resistance property and corrosion resistance property than steel plate A516 Grade 70.So steel plate 16Mo3 can not be equal to steel plate A516 Grade 70.
In German standard DIN 17155,steel plate 15Mo3 is totally equal to 16Mo3 steel plate,and European standard EN 10028-2 P355GH steel plate is equal to ASTM A516 Grade 70 steel plate.
